A group of bandits attack Kokodo village in Edu Local Government Area has resulted in the tragic deaths of four people, while some sustain injuries with two others kidnapped. The brutal assault occurred last night, targeting a group of local hunters who attempted to repel the invaders.

‎ According to a resident who spoke with Nupekotvlafiagi, the armed bandits stormed the community around 11:40 p.m. and were met with resistance from local hunters. In the ensuing clash, three hunters were killed instantly. A fourth person, who had sustained serious gunshot injuries, passed away this morning while receiving treatment, bringing the total number of fatalities to four.

‎The bandits also managed to abduct two individuals before fleeing the scene. The names of the deceased and the kidnapped victims have not yet been released.

‎ This latest incident adds to the grim tally of violence in Kwara North, where a relentless wave of attacks continues to claim lives and sow fear.
