Kwara for Kwarans Urges Government to Address Kwara State's Security Challenges

As Nigeria celebrate its Independence Day today, October 1st, the focus shifts to the pressing security concerns plaguing Kwara South and Kwara North Senatorial Districts. The everyday attacks on innocent citizens in these regions have raised alarm bells, and it's imperative that the government takes decisive action.

This year's Independence Day celebrations should serve as a catalyst for the government to condole with the affected communities and take concrete steps to address the security challenges. Establishing a military barrack in the affected areas, providing third equipment, and funding the forest guard who have recently completed their training are crucial measures that need to be implemented.

As a proactive organization and convener of the Kwara for Kwara initiative, it's essential to emphasize the importance of social development and impact in these regions. The government must prioritize the safety and well-being of its citizens, and it's time for them to take bold action.

Nigeria's Independence Day is a celebration of its freedom from colonial rule, marked by parades, cultural shows, and official ceremonies. However, amidst the festivities, it's crucial to acknowledge the struggles of its citizens and work towards creating a safer, more secure environment for all.

We commend our security operatives but we need to let them know they need to do more than extorting motorist everyday instead of facing their primary business which is the protection of lives and properties.

Conclusively, we all need to know and understand that security is everyone's business, not just the military or paramilitary, until we all know and contribute our quota, I pray God Almighty continues to restore Kwara State Harmony.
