Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi's Love Story: A Tale of Three Weddings

It was a chilly London evening in January 2017 when Oluwatosin "Mr Eazi" Ajibade first laid eyes on Temi Otedola at the Tate Club. Five years later, he proposed to her in Venice on the set of his music video for "Legalize." Fast forward to 2025, the Nigerian power couple tied the knot in not one, not two, but three different weddings across three countries.

Their first wedding took place on May 9 in Monaco, a date that holds sentimental value as it's Mr Eazi's late mother's birthday. The Otedola family also has a home in the European principality. Temi wore a custom suit designed by Wiederhoeft, paired with jewelry by Briony Raymond, while Mr Eazi opted for Louis Vuitton.

"We've been engaged for three years and together for eight, so we had this weirdly calm energy all day," Temi recounts. "It just made sense. Just the two of us, in Monaco, a place we partly call home, and no distractions, no fanfare."

After exchanging their vows, Temi changed into a stunning Christopher John Rogers black-and-white polka-dot dress for a Champagne toast at Villa La Vigie, Karl Lagerfeld's former home in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

Two months later, the couple held a traditional Yoruba wedding ceremony at the Otedola family home in Dubai. Temi, a fashion aficionado, had an impressive bridal trousseau featuring four custom outfits designed by Zac Posen, Miss Sohee, Lisa Folawiyo, and Oscar de la Renta.

"I wanted to have some of my favorite designers and visionaries create traditional Nigerian attire, and I was blown away by their interpretations," Temi shares.

Mr Eazi, styled by Jason Rembert, made a dashing entrance in a custom Lisa Folawiyo Studio look, complete with a cane by Tom Talmon Studio. Temi soon followed, resplendent in a custom Zac Posen dress and gele, as the Mr Eazi song "Skintight" played.

Zac Posen reveals that he drew inspiration from ancient Egyptian royalty, envisioning "something that felt almost like Nefertiti." The result was a stunning duchesse satin dress that hugged Temi's curves, paired with a dramatic gele and a show-stopping bow that resembled dove wings.

The ceremony was an emotional affair, with Temi admitting that the realization of the day's significance hit her as soon as she walked out. "Sitting with my parents for what is symbolically the last time before they send me to my new family particularly hit home for me."

As Temi referred to Mr Eazi as "my oko" (husband in Yoruba), the groom confesses that he almost shed a tear.

The couple's three weddings were a testament to their love, culture, and commitment to each other. As they begin their new life together, fans and well-wishers can't help but celebrate the union of these two beloved Nigerian personalities.
