In a remarkable display of community service and commitment to educational development, the Olohunlambe Foundation, in collaboration with the 1980 Set of LGEA Primary School Oke-Apomu, Ilorin, has successfully built and donated a modern toilet facility to pupils of the school. The project was carried out as part of efforts to improve hygiene, sanitation, and the overall learning environment for the children.
The newly completed facility is expected to significantly enhance the health and wellbeing of pupils by providing them with a clean, safe and accessible restroom environment. For many years, inadequate sanitation facilities have remained a challenge in several public schools, making initiatives like this a major step toward creating a more comfortable and dignified atmosphere for learning.
Speaking on the project, the CEO of Olohunlambe Foundation, Alh. F. O Olorunlambe, reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to impactful community development projects, particularly in the area of education and child welfare. He emphasized that investing in children and educational infrastructure remains one of the most meaningful ways to contribute positively to society and secure a better future for the younger generation.
Special appreciation was also extended to the Headmistress of the school, Hajjia Tawakalitu Adebayo, for her immense support, cooperation, and commitment throughout the execution of the project. Her dedication and active involvement played a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of the facility, reflecting her passion for the wellbeing and progress of the pupils under her care.
Members of the 1980 Set of LGEA Primary School Oke-Apomu, Ilorin also expressed their joy and fulfillment in giving back to their alma mater. According to them, the project is not only a contribution to the school but also a way of inspiring others to support educational institutions and uplift communities through meaningful interventions that directly impact young learners.
