Ilorin, Kwara State, November 22, 2025, In a brazen daylight attack, four armed youths stormed the Veritas News Hub studio on Saturday around 2 PM. The gunmen, aged between 20 and 30, forced entry shouting, “We’ll shoot you if you don’t hand over your phones, passwords, and everything you have.”
The CEO complied, and the assailants escaped with a Samsung Galaxy device and ₦100,000 cash found in the studio. Sources say the robbers were tipped off by an individual named Oreoluwa Bamidele from Eruku who allegedly informed them of a recent cash receipt.
The suspects—identified as Tobi (a.k.a. Tobeiku), Sesan (a.k.a. Sexy), Farouq and one other —are believed to be members of a notorious criminal gang active in the Gaa‑Akanbi area, known for snatching, robbery, cultism, and extortion.
Police are currently pursuing the criminals, who remain at large. Veritas News Hub has called on the Kwara State Commissioner of Police to investigate the incident urgently.
