The Offa Rising Youth Coalition (ORYC) has officially declared its endorsement of Hon. Barr. Gbenga Makanjuola for the Kwara South Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement released by the group, the coalition expressed unwavering support for Makanjuola’s aspiration, describing him as a visionary leader with the experience and capacity to deliver effective representation for the people of Kwara South.
The group noted that its decision was driven by the need for purposeful and people-oriented leadership that reflects the aspirations of the youth and the broader Offa community, stressing that the voices of the people can no longer be ignored in the political and developmental direction of the district.
According to ORYC, Makanjuola stands out as a tested and trusted politician with both legislative and administrative experience, having served two terms in the House of Representatives and later as Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate.
The coalition further highlighted his record in grassroots development, youth and women empowerment, as well as his engagement with traditional institutions, noting that his contributions to community advancement remain visible and impactful.
It also referenced his post-tenure “Thank You Tours” across his constituency, describing the initiative as a rare demonstration of accountability and connection with the people.
“We are convinced that his emergence will usher in a new era of responsive leadership, strategic development, and effective representation for Kwara South,” the statement read.
The group called on stakeholders, youths, and residents across Offa and the entire Kwara South Senatorial District to rally behind Makanjuola’s aspiration, emphasizing the need for unity in achieving a more prosperous future for the region.
