In a time when grassroots support has become increasingly vital to community development, the Olohunlambe Foundation is stepping forward with a clear mission: to restore hope, provide essential support, and build sustainable systems of care for underprivileged communities across Nigeria.
Founded by Olorunlambe Fatiu Olanrewaju, a man deeply rooted in the values of compassion, faith, and social responsibility, the foundation is positioned to address long-standing socio-economic gaps in education, healthcare, welfare, and youth development.
Speaking on the motivation behind the foundation, Olanrewaju says:
Olohunlambe Foundation was born out of a deep desire to make meaningful impact where it truly matters; in the lives of those who have been overlooked for far too long. Coming from a community where access to basic needs is a struggle for many, I understand the importance of giving back and standing in the gap for the underprivileged.
Over the years, Olanrewaju has quietly supported individuals and families in need: paying medical bills, sponsoring children’s education, and assisting widows and struggling artisans. With the launch of the foundation, he now seeks to formalize and scale that impact through structured programs and partnerships.
As part of its upcoming activities, the Olohunlambe Foundation is preparing to launch a Ramadan Relief Program, aimed at supporting low-income families during the holy month. The program will include:
- Daily food distribution during Iftar across key underserved areas.
- Support for widows and elderly people with care packages and stipends.
- Community prayer sessions and Ramadan sermons led by respected Islamic clerics.
- Youth outreach focusing on spiritual growth, discipline, and civic responsibility.
"Ramadan is a season of giving, reflection, and sacrifice. Through our Ramadan program, we want to reach as many people as possible with kindness — providing food, spiritual nourishment, and a sense of belonging," Olanrewaju added.
The foundation is also calling on well-meaning individuals, corporate bodies, and development partners to collaborate and support its mission, not only for Ramadan, but for year-round initiatives aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty and dependency.
