Speech Delivered by Dr. Salako at the G15 Mega Rally, Ilorin.
Distinguished party faithful, loyalists, stakeholders, and party elders, I salute you all.
Our desire is very simple, we want the APC to exist in peace and harmony in Kwara State.
There is a Yoruba proverb that says, If a father is doing something very wrong and the child keeps quiet, it is out of respect. But when he oversteps, the child will speak up and say, enough is enough.
Today, we have spoken up. Hunger does not know Tapa, Yoruba, or Baruten. We are all hungry. Every Kwarans has the right to know who will govern us. We reject the imposition of an ordinary individual on our people.
It is totally wrong and unacceptable for one man, Gov. AA, to engage in shenanigans during the primary election and claim that, he alone can impose candidates on us in 2027. We oppose this idea. It is impossible.
Therefore, we urge His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to nullify all the purported primary elections in Kwara State. There was no credible primary election here.
We affirm that if any of the G15 aspirants is nominated today, we are ready to work together as one. There will be no conflict, because our goal is for the APC to win come 2027.
The massive turnout of party faithful and loyalists you have seen today is a clear message. If Abuja claims not to see us now, then during the election, we will not see them either. We will take a decisive step ourselves.
We shall all benefit from this historic moment. Thank you all, and God bless APC, God bless Kwara State, and God the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
