LAFIA, NASARAWA STATE The newly constructed Lafia Underpass along the Jos–Makurdi Road has emerged as a major infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and transportation within Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The project, highlighted during the Renewed Hope National Media Tour of the North-Central region, is being presented as an outcome of collaboration between the Nasarawa State Government and the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The underpass forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen urban infrastructure and improve the movement of people and vehicles across Lafia. Its construction is expected to provide more efficient mobility for residents, commuters and other road users along the busy Jos–Makurdi corridor.
The project also reflects broader government efforts to address transportation challenges and enhance infrastructure in growing urban centres across the country.
The Lafia Underpass is therefore being showcased as one of the visible infrastructure developments associated with the Renewed Hope administration’s focus on improving road connectivity and urban mobility.
