LAGOS TO HOST HIGH-LEVEL APC SOUTH-WEST YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

The APC South-West Youth Leader, Comrade Adesuyi Daramola, is set to bring together governors, senior political leaders, party chieftains, youth leaders and key stakeholders at a major leadership and engagement programme aimed at strengthening youth participation in governance and political development.

The high-level programme, themed “Strengthening Youth Leadership for Progressive Governance and National Development,” is expected to provide a strategic platform for dialogue on youth leadership, political participation, responsible citizenship and the future of governance in the South-West and Nigeria.

According to the organisers, the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between established political leaders and emerging young leaders by creating an avenue for meaningful interaction, mentorship, knowledge sharing and constructive engagement.

The gathering is expected to attract serving state governors, prominent political leaders, government officials, APC stakeholders, youth leaders and other distinguished personalities from across the six South-West states.

The programme will also focus on developing the leadership capacity of young people within the party, promoting unity and encouraging youths to take greater responsibility in the political and developmental affairs of their communities, states and the nation.

With the South-West playing a significant role in Nigeria's political landscape, the organisers say the engagement is expected to generate fresh ideas and strengthen collaboration between the party's younger generation and its established leadership.

The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the LTV Hall, Ikeja, Lagos.

Youth leaders, party stakeholders and invited participants from across the six South-West states are expected to attend the programme.

The initiative is anchored on the belief that sustainable political development requires a new generation of leaders equipped with the vision, competence, integrity and commitment to serve.
