The Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter, who also serves as the Media Officer of Kwara United FC, Mr. Ayodeji Ismail, has lost his mother, Alhaja Hauwa Salihu Oniyo.
According to family sources, Alhaja Hauwa passed away on Monday evening in Ilorin.
Veritas News reports, The Janazah (funeral) prayer for the late matriarch is scheduled to hold this morning at Edun area, Ilorin, where family, friends, and sympathizers are expected to gather to pay their last respects.
In a heartfelt post shared on his Facebook page, Mr. Ismail expressed deep grief over the loss of his mother, writing:
“May Allah accept your return, my beloved mother, Alhaja Hauwa Salihu Oniyo… this is too much for me!”
The late Alhaja Hauwa Salihu is remembered as a devout Muslim, a caring mother, and a woman of peace whose life touched many within her community.
May Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-Janah Firdaus.
