The Federal Government has strengthened its collaboration with the private sector as part of efforts to accelerate industrial growth, improve productivity, attract investment and create more jobs across Nigeria.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, received an executive delegation from the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), led by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Tayo Aduloju, for discussions centred on strengthening cooperation on industrial policy and economic reforms.
The engagement focused on key issues affecting Nigeria’s industrial sector, including productivity, competitiveness, investment and employment, with both sides emphasising the need for stronger coordination between government and businesses.
Discussions also considered priorities ahead of the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit (NES32), where government and private-sector stakeholders are expected to examine practical measures for translating economic policies and reforms into tangible benefits for businesses, workers and communities.
The renewed engagement comes as the Federal Government seeks to move beyond economic stabilisation towards sustained production, investment and job creation. A stronger public-private partnership is expected to help address some of the challenges confronting businesses while creating an environment capable of supporting industrial expansion.
The government maintains that effective collaboration with the private sector remains critical to achieving a more productive, competitive and investment-driven Nigerian economy.
