The APC South-West Youth Leader, Comrade Adesuyi Daramola, has felicitated with the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of the 2026 Olojo Festival, commending the monarch for his continued efforts toward youth empowerment, economic development and the preservation of Yoruba cultural heritage.
Daramola, in a statement issued to mark the festival, described the Ooni as a father figure and a monarch who has consistently demonstrated concern for the welfare and aspirations of young Nigerians, particularly youths across the South-West.
He said the monarch’s various initiatives and investments have contributed to entrepreneurship development, economic opportunities and job creation, providing young people with platforms to improve their livelihoods and make meaningful contributions to society.
The APC South-West Youth Leader also commended the Ooni for his advocacy for responsible leadership, particularly his call on political leaders to prioritise the welfare and interests of citizens above personal and political considerations.
According to him, such a message remains important to the country’s development, noting that responsive leadership and an enabling environment are necessary for sustainable economic and social progress.
Daramola described the Olojo Festival as an important celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Ile-Ife and the Yoruba people, noting that the festival carries values that extend beyond cultural celebration.
He said its enduring themes of thanksgiving, hope, renewal and unity provide an opportunity for reflection on values capable of promoting peace, togetherness and social cohesion.
While celebrating the Ooni and the people of Ile-Ife, Daramola urged Nigerian youths to remain peaceful, productive and committed to the development of their communities.
He encouraged young people to embrace legitimate opportunities to develop their skills, build sustainable livelihoods and contribute positively to the growth of their communities and the nation.
Daramola also extended his goodwill to the people of Ile-Ife and Nigerians celebrating the 2026 Olojo Festival, praying for peace, prosperity and sustainable development across the country.
The statement was signed by Remilekun Enitan Oyelowo, Media and Publicity Director, Office of the APC South-West Youth Leader.
